Our Leadership

Jim Gerwien is the Chief Executive Officer for Extant Components Group Holdings, Inc. Prior to joining Extant, Mr. Gerwien was President of BBA Aviation's Legacy Support Division with responsibility for the company's Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing, International Turbine Services, W.H. Barrett Turbine Engine Company, and International Governor Services business units.
 
Mr. Gerwien has more than 28 years of aerospace industry experience in a wide variety of businesses holding numerous operational and executive leadership roles. He joined BBA Aviation in late February 2006 following the company's acquisition of Ontic, where he had served as President since 2002. Prior to joining Ontic, he was the Business Unit Manager for Vickers Fluid Power, a division of Eaton Aerospace in Jackson, Mississippi.
He began his aerospace career with General Electric in 1982 and held a number of executive leadership positions within the company and later Martin Marietta / Lockheed Martin when they acquired GE's Aerospace business group in 1993.
 
Mr. Gerwien earned a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a BSME degree from the University of Connecticut. Currently he serves on the Advisory Board of Onestop (www.callonestop.com), a computer and printing supply company headquartered in Canoga Park, CA.
Gary Boekenkamp is Vice President of Corporate Development for Extant Components Group Holdings, Inc. Prior to joining Extant, Mr. Boekenkamp served as Vice President of Marketing & Strategic Business Development for BBA Aviation Legacy Products Group where he was responsible for marketing, acquisitions, strategic planning and business development for BBA's global Legacy Support business including Ontic Engineering & Manufacturing.

Mr. Boekenkamp's background includes over 30 years of executive management experience in the business, commercial and military aviation industries. He began his aviation career at Airwork Corporation in 1980 and held a variety of marketing, operations and general management positions with Gulf+Western Advanced Engineering Center, Atlantic Aviation, Aviall and Dallas Airmotive, prior to joining Signature Flight Support as Senior Vice President of Marketing in 1998.

He was appointed Vice President of Marketing for BBA Aviation Services Group in 2000 and later served as Vice President of Strategy & Business Development for BBA Aviation Flight Support Group.

Mr. Boekenkamp is a graduate of William Paterson University. He attended graduate school at Drexel University and completed executive leadership courses in Strategic Planning and Marketing Management at the University of Michigan and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
Jim Kennedy is Vice President of Adoptions & Business Management for Extant Components Group Holdings, Inc. and oversees the Program Office, Finance and Contracts/Pricing for all Extant subsidiaries.

Mr. Kennedy has over 43 years of executive leadership experience including general management, program management, business development, contracts, finance, and legal in the industrial, military and commercial Aerospace markets.

Prior to joining Extant, Mr. Kennedy had been Deputy to the Vice President of Navigation & Positioning Systems Business Area and was Director of Program Operations for Northrop's Navigation Systems Division having previously held the position of Director of Business Management for the Division in a CFO capacity. Mr. Kennedy joined Northrop Grumman from the Guidance and Control Systems Division of Litton Systems, Inc. where he served as Vice President of Business Management.

Mr. Kennedy earned Bachelor degrees from California State University at Northridge, Juris Doctorate from Glendale University College of Law, and Master of Business Administration from Capella University. He is certified Six Sigma Green Belt through the University of Michigan and was trained in General Management, Leadership and Financial Management at Harvard Graduate Business School and Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Jim Post became Vice President of Operations for Extant Components Group Holdings, Inc. after extensive executive management careers in both the aerospace and automotive industries.

Immediately prior to joining Extant, Mr. Post was President of Post Consulting, Inc., a management consulting firm specializing in the aerospace industry with primary assignments in mergers and acquisitions. Previously, Mr. Post served as Vice President—Operations, for Litton Guidance and Control Systems, prior to its acquisition by Northrop Grumman Corporation in 2001.

Mr. Post came to Litton after careers with Barry Controls Aerospace, GM-Hughes, McDonnell Douglas, and Ford Aerospace. He began his career with Ford Motor Company, working his way through various manufacturing assignments before eventually becoming Manager of Manufacturing for the Aeronutronic Division.

Mr. Post graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. He attended graduate school at the University of Michigan and obtained Executive Education certifications from Harvard Business School and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Campbell McKegg was named Chief Financial Officer for Extant Components Group Holdings, Inc. following Extant’s acquisition of Symetrics Industries in June 2010. Mr. McKegg has served as the Sr. Vice President of Accounting and Finance of Symetrics since May 1998. He joined Symetrics in 1988 as the Manager of Accounting.
 
Mr. McKegg received his Master of Business Administration from Emory University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Western Maryland College. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
